Located in a cosy heritage shophouse along Joo Chiat, our workshops are designed for beginners and guided by experienced silversmiths, making it easy to create a one-of-a-kind piece you'll be proud to wear.

Sawing is one of the fundamental techniques in silversmithing and jewellery making. Learn how to accurately cut sterling silver sheet and wire using a jeweller's saw, developing the precision needed to create clean joins and strong solder joints.

Mastering this essential skill forms the foundation of professional jewellery making.

What you'll be doing.

Learn the fundamentals of silversmithing and jewellery making using professional jeweller's tools.
Master essential techniques including sawing, piercing, filing, forming, soldering and polishing sterling silver.
Design and handcraft your own sterling silver ring, pendant, cuff or personalised piece with guidance from experienced silversmiths.
Leave with a finished piece of handcrafted sterling silver jewellery, created entirely by you.
Duration: Approximately 2 to 3 hours. Smaller class sizes may finish earlier depending on the complexity of each design.

What's Included

Use of all professional silversmithing tools and workshop equipment.
Materials to create one handcrafted sterling silver or brass jewellery piece.
Up to 6g of sterling silver is included. Additional silver for larger or thicker designs is available at S$4 per gram (subject to market rate).
Gold alloy options are available upon request before your workshop and are charged according to current market rates.
Personal guidance from an experienced silversmith throughout the workshop.
A complimentary beverage to enjoy during your workshop (available upon request).

Important Tips

No prior experience is required. This workshop is beginner-friendly, and your instructor will guide you through every step of the jewellery making process.
If you already have a design in mind, feel free to bring along reference images or sketches. Otherwise, inspiration and design guidance will be provided during the workshop.
Wear comfortable clothing and closed-toe shoes, as you'll be working with professional silversmithing tools and equipment.
Long hair should be tied back, and loose sleeves or accessories should be avoided for safety.
Please arrive 10 minutes before your workshop begins to allow time for a short introduction and safety briefing.
